WORKING MEETING BETWEEN JSC KIEP AND JSC "NATIONAL ELECTRIC NETWORKS OF UZBEKISTAN"

On March 7, 2020, at the initiative of the Uzbek side, there was a working meeting held between JSC KIEP and JSC "National Electric Networks of Uzbekistan", a company integrated into the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Uzbekistan that operates and develops the main electric networks and provides for power supply and interstate transit of electricity. The company has 14 regional main electric networks, a national control center, 77 substations and about 10,000 km of 220-500 kV overhead lines.

During the meeting there was a fruitful exchange of information on the JSC KIEP experience in in developing the electrical networks and substations in Ukraine and other countries as well as the experience in designing the power facilities. Resulting from the contact meeting, the Uzbek side expressed their readiness to cooperate with JSC KIEP for designing the reconstruction of 220-500 kV substations, signed a protocol of intentions and discussed the next steps for promoting the mutually beneficial cooperation.
